What is Quantum Speed Reading?Quantum speed reading (QSR) is a completely new technique for reading books without looking at the pages. It was developed in Japan and has been taught to both children and adults there for the last several years. Astonishing as it may seem to most of us who learned only to read books by reading a page at a time they can in fact be read by simply flipping the pages. Unlike the many well established forms of speed reading that are in existence QSR does not require the book to be opened at all. The book is simply held up in front of the reader’s face and the pages are flipped rapidly using the thumb much like when preparing to shuffle playing cards. It is thus a truly revolutionary advancement in education.

The QSR technique is not solely about reading however. It can also be utilised in several other creative ways for problem solving and memorizing, for health improvement and stress reduction as well as for positive thinking and what can only be described as quasi telepathic communication with plants and animals for example. All of these extensions of the original QSR training have been fully documented and tested over the years in a great variety of situations with many individuals. This web site has been created to introduce QSR for the first time outside of Japan where there are now thousands of school students and adults using it in their daily lives to great benefits both for them and for society at large. It appears that using the right brain approach to learning encourages cooperation and harmony among people. This is surely something we can all benefit from.

Ms. Yumiko Tobitani, who is a teacher at Japan’s renowned Shichida Child Academy, has been the leading light of this technique over the past decade. Her first book in English entitled ‘Quantum Speed Reading’ covers the development and practical applications of QSR in detail. Well known scientist and systems thinker Dr. Ervin Laszlo, who comments on QSR at the beginning of the book, has witnessed the children in Japan training at Ms. Tobitani’s prep school. Imagine being able to read any book in any language! Imagine a new form of communication within your family or friends or colleagues. And if you can try to visualize getting information from the blank pages of a book that is specially prepared for QSR students. Parents and children alike all over Japan have reported a wealth of improvements in their lives and relationships thanks to this truly ‘mind stretching’ ability that sleeps within all of our brains. We hope that this web site will assist you in learning more about it and encourage you to communicate with us in Japan.

2) CLUB OF BUDAPESTwww.clubofbudapest.org

ENGLISH VERSION

Founded in 1993, the global Club of Budapest is an informal international association dedicated to developing a new way of thinking and a new ethics that will help resolve the social, political, economic, and ecological challenges of the 21st century. With its roster of internationally renowned members the Club initiates a dialogue between different belief systems and world views in order to co-create and develop effective strategies for responsible and sustainable action with a global focus.

The idea of the Club of Budapest was developed in 1978 in a discussion between Aurelio Peccei, founder and first president of the Club of Rome, and Ervin Laszlo, systems philosopher and also member of the Club of Rome at that time. They were convinced that the enormous challenges to humanity can only be dealt with through the development of a cultural and cosmopolitan consciousness. Based on these ideas, the Club of Budapest was founded by Dr. Laszlo in 1993. The founding city and namesake of the Club lies at the heart of Europe and is spread out over both banks of the River Danube. The successful merging of the two cities Buda and Pest is symbolized by the famous Chain Bridge. It visualizes our ambition to build bridges between generations, disciplines and cultures. Therefore, it was selected as the logo and signet for the objectives of the Club. The main essence of the global efforts lies in the initiation of dialogue.

Since 2008 the operational platform of the Club of Budapest is the WorldShift Network, which was established by Ervin Laszlo, Wolfgang Riehn and Johannes Heimrath in 2007 as an international foundation. It has its seat in Germany. In future the WorldShift Network will be responsible for the international projects of the Club as well as for the coordination of the National Clubs.

Floriana Pagliano and Veda Learning Center (Hong Kong)

Veda Well Being Center (formerly known as Eugenic Education & Counselling Center) was founded in 2004 to help students, with generic skills enhancement as well as their psychological well-being, to unleash their full potential. Our signature program Quantum Brain Learning was where it all began. Based on Split Brain Theory by Dr. Roger Spears, we developed a program that strengthen both right and left brain, together with the application of meditation, students were proven to achieve better academic results, and gained better emotional well-being. Over the last 5 years, we have helped over 30 primary and secondary schools by providing various programs including learning motivation enhancement, mind-mapping, time management and others.

Inspired by the founder of system philosophy Dr. Ervin Laszlo, we are convinced that humanity is facing a big swift towards the year of 2012. We have envisioned that consciousness based education holds the key to our next generation. In the year of 2008, we took a new direction with building 3 main pillars to promote the benefit of higher consciousness living through various aspects of education.

I. Body, Mind & Spirit Integration

II. Consciousness based learning

III. ESP training

We have renamed our company to ‘VEDA’, in Sanskrit word, meaning “knowledge”. By combining the essence of Eastern Philosophy and the Western scientific research of human mind, we hope to elevate any individual to live their life at highest by appying the wisdom of the Universe.
